How Things Began

Dr. Trudy began helping clients with brief intensive therapies in 2005. She was a clinician at a Christian counseling center learning the brief intensive process until 2012.

After learning trauma resolution techniques and gleaning from many trauma trainings she developed the A'nesis Retreats and Counseling Sabbaticals for Christian marriages and eventually individuals and began her private practice in 2012. Since that time she has helped countless marriages and individuals attain the freedom from bondage they've desired through the A'neis Retreats and Counseling Sabbatical programs.

When Covid happened in 2020, after much prayer and research she began offering the same protocol in an online format. Since 2020 many have experienced the same freedom from past trauma and subsequent grief and aftermath of the trauma as the in-person counseling retreats.

Those in-person retreats were offered in Colorado, Tennessee and Arizona, where she is holds a professional License for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Having your own retreat at the location of your choice eliminates many of the challenges presented in travel and staying in another state. The online format might be just what you are looking for in lieu of weekly therapy sessions that don't get you un-stuck.

FIRST SESSION: Hearing Your Story

The beauty of this first session is that you have plenty of time to share, unlike "normal" 50 minute session. When was the last time you 've had someone really listen to you three hours? This is the beginning of your online trauma therapy intensive where you get in touch with all parts of your life ~ past and present.

Lesson One. (Part One)

"And I will make the Valley of Achor, your door of hope." Hosea 2:16

You have an opportunity to make a detailed inventory of your wounds. Our object is NOT to stay in the past. But going through the Valley of Achor is "our hope" for putting the past in the past. Online trauma therapy is amazing and it works!

Lesson One. (Part Two)

Besides naming your wounds it is good to attach the emotions you felt because of these wounds.

Lesson Two.

"We can't say good-bye unless we say hello."

Grieving is an important piece to "getting on with your life.." This is an important part of your intensive. The good news you will be doing this with support and prayer. Lesson Three.

"Why is my language not clear to you?" Jesus.

Bringing lies to the light is an important part of being able to recognize why our thoughts get stuck and why it is so hard to live our true Identity. Here you begin to think about lies you started believing because of the wounds. Online trauma therapy can help you begin your journey to Truth.

Gift and Calling
